Overview
SemperDev ("we," "us," or "our") operates Code of Alabama by SemperDev (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App and this policy website.
The App is an independent legal reference and study tool. It is not an official application of, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Alabama Legislature or the State of Alabama. The App does not require a SemperDev account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or payment-card details.

Data stored on your device
Bookmarks, highlights, private notes, reading history, quiz progress, quiz answers, and application settings are stored in a local database on your device. SemperDev does not receive or have access to this study data through the App.
The statutory database is bundled with the App for offline use. Searching or browsing that local database does not send your search terms or reading activity to SemperDev.

Subscriptions and purchases
The App uses RevenueCat to provide subscriptions, confirm Pro access, restore purchases, and display subscription-management tools. RevenueCat may process an anonymous App User ID, device and operating-system information, subscription product identifiers, transaction dates, entitlement status, and App Store receipts or Google Play purchase tokens.
Apple or Google processes your store account and payment information. SemperDev does not receive your complete payment-card number. Subscription information is used only to provide, maintain, restore, and support paid App functionality.

Retention, choices, and deletion
Local study data remains on your device until you remove it in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. Removing the App may permanently delete that local data.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account and use the App's restore-purchases or Customer Center features where available. RevenueCat and the app stores retain transaction information according to their own policies and legal obligations.
To ask about purchase-related information or request assistance with deletion, email us. We may need your anonymous RevenueCat App User ID or transaction details to locate the correct record.

Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information handled through the App. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and SemperDev does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its store listing.
